New Basketball Role~
Although it is still part of the soccer season (PLAYOFFS TOMORROW!!), we had a short meeting for basketball today. Last year, Virge, Rabinowitz, and I agreed that it was important for me to stay active throughout the off-season for softball, since we didn't start practices as early as we used to. As a result, I decided to attend basketball practices for the drills, running exercises, etc. I originally didn't really want to join the team (since I don't really like playing in serious games for some reason), but Mr. Rabinowitz just handed me a jersey and said that I would be part of the team. I still didn't want to, but I took it anyways.
I really hate it when I "give up" on something, so I didn't want to leave the basketball team. But at the same time, I didn't want to play. Luckily, Heather came up with a genius idea: BASKETBALL MANAGERS. They needed someone to do statistics, books, and scoreboard anyways, and we both understood the game, so we decided to do it together. We still have to learn a lot more about the job and everything, but I think we'll be able to do well.
